The subject building was constructed in 1878 and is laid out over three floors with an overall internal floor area of circa 1,131 Sq. m. The convent is a listed Building Under RPS ref 762. To the west side of the building is the educational block containing two ground floor classrooms with a further three classrooms on the first floor. To the east of the building is the chapel which is single storey and laid out in an "L" shape which divides the Nun's chapel from the public chapel, located over part of the nun's chapel is a balcony area.
