Power Property have leased on behalf of two private clients both No. 5 and No. 37b Cruises Street, Limerick.

No. 5 Cruises Street was up to recently occupied by EIR and this shop has been leased to Card Factory. Card Factory offer exclusive ranges in personalised gifts and cards both online and via their retail stores.

No 37b Cruises Street has been leased to Fonez, this retail company is Irish based with retail outlets in Galway, Cork and Donegal along with their online store. Fonez opened their first retail outlet in 2010 in Galway, and are now considered to be one of the largest SIM free retailers of pre-owned mobile phones in Europe. The opening at Cruises Street will be the first store opening in the Mid-West Region of Ireland for Fonez. 37b Cruises Street was last occupied by Thornton’s who closed their store at Cruises Street last year.

Patrick Seymour at Power Property negotiated the terms for both leases on behalf the owners of the two properties at Cruises Street, and commented on lettings that “the 2 lettings are a positive development for Cruises Street, and the two new openings help off set the vacancy level on the street at present. The development and growth of online retailing is a challenging aspect to the retail property market, however, many retailers continue with a brick’s and click’s strategy, and many professional retailers see this as a forward strategy”
