No 37b Cruises Street has been leased to Fonez, this retail company is Irish based with retail outlets in Galway, Cork and Donegal along with their online store. Fonez opened their first retail outlet in 2010 in Galway, and are now considered to be one of the largest SIM free retailers of pre-owned mobile phones in Europe. Patrick Seymour at Power Property negotiated the terms for both leases on behalf the owners of the two properties at Cruises Street, and commented on lettings that “the 2 lettings are a positive development for Cruises Street, and the two new openings help off set the vacancy level on the street at present. The development and growth of online retailing is a challenging aspect to the retail property market, however, many retailers continue with a brick’s and click’s strategy, and many professional retailers see this as a forward strategy”
